You are currently viewing Survey: Vietnam among 5 most popular destinations

A survey by adventure tour operator Intrepid Travel found Vietnam is one of five leading destinations New Zealanders want to visit.

Besides Vietnam, the other most popular destinations were New Zealand’s Aotearoa Island, Australia, Turkey and Morocco.

“We are also seeing Kiwis start to plan for the future with international travel as well. We’re starting to see some of those key destinations come back again, like Vietnam, which is a really popular one for intrepid travel with Kiwis,” said Intrepid Travel company’s managing director Sarah Clarke, cited by The New Zealand Herald.

The Vietnamese government has allowed quarantine-free entry for foreign visitors since March, 2022. It also offers 30-day e-visas for citizens from 80 countries and territories, including New Zealand.

So far this year Vietnam has received about 1.5 million foreign tourists and has a full-year target of five million.
