Winter is more suitable for tourists who do not like the harsh heat of the North. In winter – December and January is the time with least amount of rain falls, visitors can experience a cold day at early morning and at night; enjoy the warm sun at noon.
What to do?
At noon, limousines/shuttle bus will pick up the tourist from Hanoi to Tuan Chau international ship port, to start the journey to visit Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay (Cat Ba, Hai Phong). After lunch break, customers can check in and rest in a warm room or soak in a hot tub. Normally, the yacht have some rooms with private balcony or large glass doors like a TV to watch the deep blue bay. Tourists often say that the inherent blue color of the bay is even more beautiful in sunny days.
You can choose to go kayaking or speedboat to explore the bay freely.
It’s quite cold to swim in the winter, you can experience squid fishing on the deck, another option is to join a cooking class, enjoy hot dishes that you just made in the cold weather.
In particular, dawn will be easier to catch in winter due to the late sunrise.
